Horsebox For Rent was set up with a simple mission: make professional horse transport accessible and affordable for every horse owner. We saw a gap for reliable, flexible horsebox hire — without the cost of owning and maintaining a lorry of your own.

We keep it simple: clean, well-maintained horseboxes, a clear handover before you set off and honest, upfront pricing — for trips to competitions, veterinary appointments, liveries and beyond.

Every horsebox is checked before each hire, and we hold ourselves to high standards of safety, customer service and animal welfare.

Every hire includes insurance, unlimited UK mileage and a full handover: we walk you through the ramp, partitions, tie rings and driving controls before you leave. Each horsebox is cleaned and safety-checked before every hire.

Yes. Tell us as early as you can and we will move your dates to the next available slot. Changes and cancellations are handled under the hire terms you receive with your booking confirmation.

A 3.5t horsebox can be driven on a standard car licence (category B). The 5t and 7.5t boxes need C1 entitlement, which most drivers who passed their test before 1 January 1997 already hold. Check your licence and we will confirm which horsebox you can take.
