Comprehensive insurance with third-party cover, 24-hour roadside assistance, basic maintenance, 24/7 support. Fuel is separate.

What licence do I need?

A 3.5t horsebox can be driven on a standard car licence (category B). The 5t and 7.5t boxes need C1 entitlement, which most drivers who passed their test before 1 January 1997 already hold.

Who can drive the horsebox?

Drivers need a full UK licence and must meet our insurer’s minimum age and experience requirements. We confirm the details when you book.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. A refundable security deposit is taken when you book and returned once the horsebox is back in the same condition. The amount is confirmed in your booking.

Where do I collect the horsebox?

From our base in Essex at an agreed time. Ask us about collection near Chelmsford, Basildon or Colchester.

Can you drive for me instead?

Yes. If you would rather not drive, we can provide a professional, fully insured driver with equine experience. Ask for a quote when you book.
